Cabinet Painting
Got a cabinet cosmetics problem?
If your existing cabinets are sound, your layout is fine, and your main problem is cosmetics, Cabinet Painting may be a good option for you.
Option 1:
Clean, prep and paint everything as it currently is.
The lowest cost option.
Does not afford you the opportunity to get rid of decades worth of dings and damage.
Does not afford you the opportunity to modernize the door style.
Do not get the benefit of a harder, tougher, catalyzed enamel finish on the parts that get handled.
Option 2:
Clean, prep and paint the cabinet boxes in-place.
Replace the doors, drawer fronts & moldings with new factory-painted parts.
A little more expensive option.
Opportunity to modernize the doors and drawer fronts.
Better finished appearance - all new - no damage.
Benefit of state-of-the-art, tougher factory finishes.
New concealed hinges.
A good DIY option - Only the cabinet boxes are painted (the fast, easy, part).
